KAI Image Academy has groomed me from a person whom do not know how to put on makeup to a person whom can do not only beauty makeup but special effects, tv charactor,stage makeup , face painting , hairdo and many more. They are very patient and they taught us in very details how should we do correction and hide imperfections in order to bring out the best look of a person using makeup. They also gave me a lot opportunities to expose myself by joining their activities and events outside class. I gained so much experience and I indeed had built up my confidence in the makeup industry.

My name is Zulaa, and I’m from Mongolia. I chose to become a makeup artist because I’m fascinated by the art of makeup and beauty, and I wanted to build a career as a makeup artist.

I chose Kai Image because I attended a one-day makeup workshop at Kai Image, and I was impressed by how professionally the workshop was conducted and how much I learned. I then decided to join Kai Image as a full-time student for the Bridal and Master Professional Makeup Artist courses. During my studies, I learned many new techniques that helped build my confidence as a professional makeup artist.

What I loved the most was the support I received from my teacher, Kenzooi, and the interaction between the other students. After all the practice and support, I felt well-prepared and confident. I successfully completed my final exam and graduated as a professional makeup artist. This made me feel very good about what I had achieved and created excitement about my future and how I’m going to use my new skills, as I want to become a highly regarded professional makeup artist in Australia.

I immediately started using my new skills and helped one of my good friends with her makeup on her special wedding day.

Training at KAI Image Academy with Kenz Ooi is honestly one of the best decisions I ever made for my career.

I trained in bridal updos, beauty makeup, airbrushing, character makeup, and special effects. You don’t leave KAI Image Academy just knowing how to do makeup. You leave knowing how to master it.

When I moved back home to the United States, those skills took me places I’m still proud of. I became a Featured Makeup Artist for Bobbi Brown Cosmetics.

I built my portfolio through editorial work, bridal, and theater. I explored film through independent productions. For the past eight years, I’ve been part of the Wig and Makeup Crew at one of the most prestigious theater houses in the United States. It is a world-class performance institution. Through that work, I’ve become an expert at applying and removing wigs — a skill set that requires both precision and speed at the highest level.
